Fostering opportunities for aspiring environmentalist

An investment in education is an investment in the future of sustainable development, and for the Nicaforest project, fostering the professional enrichment of the future generation of environmentalists is a key part of our social impact platform.


Our reforestation project cooperates with local universities in Nicaragua, with the intention of enabling knowledge transfer & the goal of granting opportunities to young professionals seeking to bolster their knowledge in the field of sustainable forestry.


Internship opportunities in Nicaragua are often scarce, which is why through our cooperation with Universities in the country, given that the overall development of sustainable forestry is in a premature stage.


This is why we aim to provide these developing professionals with a relevant internship & foster the development of the future generation of sustainability heroes.

This past Tuesday, October 26th, Nicaforest welcomed a group of students from the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua in Chontales.


These students are part of the Agriculture & Natural Resources program at the University, and the internship opportunities enabled by the Nicaforest project provide them with valuable professional enrichment, in addition to first-hand experience in the field of sustainable forestry.

The Nicaforest concept is based on the creation of a sustainable value chain around forestry, and in order to effectively attain that target, fundamental pillars of sustainable development have to be in place in our surrounding community.

This is why we aim to go beyond the boundaries of our project, and we believe that by providing budding professionals with experience in the field of sustainability, we are making a valuable investment in the future of sustainable development in the region.


Education is a fundamental pillar of sustainable development, and Nicaforest remains committed to fostering knowledge transfer & opportunities for young professionals, and thus foster the development of a sustainable value chain around forestry in our surrounding community.
